About the Book
Introduction to Pharamceutics is meant for B.Pharm students. It covers basic topics like development of new drugs, preformulation alongwith principles of formulation design and biopharmaceutics. This book lays more emphasis on fundamentals of unit operations and equipments involved in manufacturing of pharmaceuticals. It also covers topics on galenical preparations and alternative medicines. Special topics like CGMP and radiopharmaceuticals widen the horizons of the book. The authors have explained well all topics with diagrams and charts.
About the Authors
Professor Atmaram Pawar, M. Pharm. Ph.D., is working as a Professor of pharmaceutics in Poona College of Pharmacy, Pune. He has been awarded as the `Pharmacy Teacher of the Year 2005′ and `Prof. B.M. Mithal Memorial Award 2007′.
Prof. Pawar has to his credit seven books on pharmacy. He has two patents and thirty-three research papers and is a referee for many journals of repute. He is a member of board of studies and curriculum design committees of several Indian universities and the founder-president of an NGO `Physician-Patient-Pharmacist Community Forum, Pune.’
