CMP India launches CPhI/P-MEC/ ICSE India 2008
South Asia’s pharmaceutical industry gets three comprehensive events encompassing ingredients, machinery and technology, and contract manufacturing
CMP India will once again have three comprehensive events – CPhI/P-MEC/ ICSE India 2008 – that would encompass ingredients, machinery and technology, and contract manufacturing. CPhI India (Convention on Pharmaceutical Ingredients), P-MEC India (Pharmaceutical Machinery & Equipment Convention) and ICSE (International Contract Services Expo) will be hosted at the Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai. P-MEC will be held from November 27 to 30 and CPhI /ICSE will be held from November 28 – 30, 2008.
The second edition of P-MEC India will showcase pharma machinery and equipment, a market that is experiencing a 15 percent growth in India. It will aim at offering a privileged insight into the opportunities for both, suppliers and buyers of pharma machinery and manufacturing equipment, with the exclusive support of the Indian Pharma Machinery Manufacturers Association (IPMMA). Additionally, a dedicated new pavilion will be showcased for analytical instruments and lab equipments, supported by the Indian Analytical Instruments Association (IAIA).
“Such events would drive investor interest in our industry. If marketing and R&D efforts could be coordinated, it would achieve economies of scale, which will be beneficial to us,” says Bhavna Shah, President, IPMMA.
Additionally, the event is supported by various associations such as IDMA, OPPI and BDMA and is also endorsed by Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI) and Association of Pharmaceutical Producers of Nepal (APPON). Exhibiting this year are dedicated pavilions from the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMPHIE), the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Pharmexcil.
This year, the event, will also see the inclusion of ICSE (International Contract Services Expo) India 2008. Through ICSE India 2008, companies providing research, development and production services can take this opportunity to showcase themselves to businesses looking for the right outsource partner. ICSE India 2008 will focus on the contract services division of the pharma manufacturing process – an area that offers qualified outsourcing specialists an ideal opportunity to strike the right deals.
Together CPhI/ ICSE/ P-MEC India 2008 will bring over 700 exhibitors spread across 43, 500 sq meters, from over 25 countries, under one banner, provide a comprehensive insight into the booming pharma industry in Southern Asia.
