Sensex sheds 117 points due to profit booking

The Bombay Stock Exchange on the first trading day of the week (Monday 19) opened at 3633, remained firm during the day and closed at 3613.28, down by 4.4 points. On Friday 23, the market witnessed heavy selling by institutions of select pharma stocks. On Friday, the sensex opened at 3,555 and closed at 3,516.11, registering a loss of 97 points against Thursday’s close of 3,536.26 and 117 points loss against Monday’s close.
