Singapore Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang to open Process CEM Asia 2010

The Minister for Trade and Industry, Lim Hng Kiang, will officiate at the opening of the second edition of ProcessCEM Asia, the region’s only dedicated show for the process, construction, engineering and maintenance industry. The exhibition will be held at the Sands Expo Convention Centre from October 5th to 7th 2010.
This year’s exhibition is complemented by a high-level conference which will explore the theme; Asia’s Growing Process Industry: Harnessing Innovation to Advance Business Opportunities and Operational Excellence in the New Decade”.
The two-day conference will address critical issues in the industry. Brought on by strong industry demand the conference will also incorporate a commercial track which will look at topics such as innovation, business opportunities, regional partnerships and plant optimisation. The keynote presentation will be given by Chiew Nguang Yong, General Manager of Shell Chemicals Seraya Pte Ltd. He will speak on capability enhancement, productivity improvement and strategic partnership in the process industry.
Among the invited top-notch speakers is Himadri Basu, Vice-President and Managing Director of Jacobs Engineering Pte Ltd. He will speak on the subject of EPC Alliance Program – A Win-win Situation between EPC Contractors and Owners for Mutual Benefit. Koh Chun-Peng, Director, Business Development, Rotary Engineering will share views on managing and building a diverse workforce while improving productivity, safety and quality.
An event is organised for the industry by the Association of Process Industry (ASPRI), the exhibition will feature the latest products and services from over 100 participating companies from 18 countries. There is a huge Singapore pavilion which includes several major local industry players, such as Mun Siong Engineering, PEC and Rotary Engineering.
