Biotech India 2007, a unique B2B fair is being held concurrently with IETF 2007, one of the most comprehensive business fairs in South Asia where Japan is the partner country, covering bio-pharma, bio-agri, bio-industrial, bio-services, bio-informatics, bio-suppliers, medical biotech, research institutions and biotech parks. BioAsia is Asia’s premier biotechnology event. The event established three years ago with the objective to give Hyderabad and the state of Andhra Pradesh as a whole, an impetus to become the biotech capital of the country. Organised annually, this convention is a gathering of professionals from some the leading biotech companies from across the world. This year BioAsia 2007 is expected to attract over 70 exhibitors, 800 conference delegates, 40 internationally acclaimed speakers and 3,000 visitors across the globe.
The event will also feature special sessions titled Biobusiness Funding Opportunities’ and ‘Translational Research: Bridging basic science with clinical practice.
The event will see delegations from countries like Canada, Finland, and Holland participate for the first time in the event. Delegates are also expected from the 15 member countries of FABA such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Japan, S Korea and Thailand. And there is a special session titled Biobusiness Funding Opportunities will feature prominent VCs and technology transfer advisers who will share their expectations to the entrepreneurial community on making business ideas a reality and the various funding options open.
