India Pharma Summit 2010 to focus on affordability through innovation

The Government of India, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Department of Pharmaceuticals is organising India Pharma Summit 2010, concurrently held with CPhI India and P-MEC India scheduled on 30 November, 2010 at Nehru Centre Auditorium, Mumbai. The theme of this year’s event will be: “India- your partner in Pharma – Affordability through Innovation in Drug Discovery, Clinical Research & Medical Devices.”

This Summit is jointly in partnership with FICCI and UBM India and supported by, Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India (BPPI), The Federation of Pharma Entrepreneurs (FOPE), Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA), Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) and Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council (PHARMEXCIL).

The Summit this year will continue to offer a platform to address key issues, identify opportunities and challenges and chart a roadmap for India to take a rightful place, as a destination of choice for discovery, research, development and manufacturing. The Summit would cover a wide range of topics of interest to stakeholders in the industry, like “Drug Discovery”, “Clinical Research”, “Medical Devices & Diagnostics”, “Leadership in Generics” and “The Rising and Way Forward”.
